Don’t Give Up, God Has Not Forgotten Your Labour — sermon poster, Elder Evans Adeenu, 25 October 2026

SERMON SUMMARY

For every officer and volunteer: service done with love is worship. God sees unseen sacrifices, and our ultimate reward comes from Him.

Summary and key points transcribed from the supplied sermon poster. Scripture references are listed on the poster as memory verses.

“Your labour in the Lord is not in vain.”

Key points

  • Faithfulness grows over time — Feeling tired does not mean you have stopped loving God. Faithfulness begins at home: keep preparing, practising and serving, even when fruit is not yet visible.
  • Speak words that build — Replace gossip with encouragement. Approach people personally and lovingly, give constructive feedback and offer practical help. Which door do you belong to: criticism or wholehearted help?
  • God sees hidden effort — People saw the appreciation video; God saw its hidden preparation. Choir practice, planning and food preparation also matter. Before criticising, ask how someone is doing.
  • Faith can act in storms — A victim mindset feels helpless; an opportunity mindset seeks ways forward. Pray, seek counsel and act wisely. What resources do we have? Who can help? Voice concerns gently.
  • Grace for a new beginning — Jesus restored Peter after his denial and entrusted him with responsibility again. Failure need not end your journey. Seek grace, accept correction, learn, repair and try again.
  • Growth requires patience — Growth is not a straight path: setbacks, doubt, learning and renewed progress are part of the journey. Let patience do its work in ministry, family, education and work.
  • God guides beyond our plans — Work diligently and acknowledge God at every step. Through valleys and unexpected challenges, He guides and sustains you. Entrust your plans, hopes and responsibilities to Him.
  • Our response — The church is a family. Share responsibilities and ask for help. Listen well, protect integrity, prepare carefully, welcome warmly and encourage one another. Serve with care, kindness, faithfulness and love.
